What happened
Magical Trevor cheerfully sings about his powers while performing the same baffling cow-disappearance act. The joke is the mismatch between his grand wizard presentation, the smallness of the trick, and the song’s total confidence.
Where it came from
Jonti “Weebl” Picking uploaded “Magical Trevor” to Newgrounds on July 17, 2004, credited there as TheWeebl. The Flash music video introduces a deliberately underwhelming magician whose only trick is making a cow vanish.
Why it mattered
Magical Trevor is a clean example of Flash-era internet comedy at its most durable: a self-contained character, a minimal visual premise, and a melody that makes a 50-second loop feel impossible not to replay.
How it spread
The creator-submitted animation earned Newgrounds Daily 2nd Place and Weekly 4th Place immediately after release. Newgrounds’ own 2004 history identifies it as part of Weebl’s run of dominant Flash jingles, and its short loop traveled naturally through shared links, repeat viewings, quote culture, and later creator-hosted video uploads.
