The “Hot Dog Car” sketch appeared in episode five of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, which premiered on Netflix in April 2019. Tim Robinson plays the visibly implicated hot-dog-suited man who responds to an obvious disaster by joining the search for someone else to blame.

Hot Dog Car condensed a complete absurdist sketch into a reusable internet sentence about conspicuous blame-shifting. It also helped establish I Think You Should Leave as a source of quote-first, reaction-ready streaming comedy.
